The best way to explore any city is on foot. Ridding a bicycle is an alternative to walking, but Belgrade city centre is not a great place for bicycles. Howewer , there are other places in the city where cycling is highly popular.

Danube and Sava river bank 

The built-up begans in th eold part of Zemun, going past the Hotel Jugoslavija, until it reaches the confluence of the Sava and Danube, and then passes under the bridges of Belgrade until you reach Blok 45 in Novi Beograd. For most of its length it passes by a large number of cafes, clubs and floating restaurants.

Danube Quay 

From the Sava Passenger Dock past Nebojsa's Tower to the Sports Centre on the banks of the Danube, The bicycle track which leads all the way to Ada Ciganlija starts here.

Kalemegdan Park

From Kalemegdan, Belgrade's largest park, you begin a walk through the history of Belgrade as inscribed on the walls of the Belgrade Fortress.

Ada Ciganlija

Ada Ciganlija is one of the largest and the most beautiful beaches on artificial lakes in Europe. The lake water is warmer and cleaner than the river and thus the lake is highly suitable for mass recreational activities.
Around the Sava lake there are 7km of surfaced pedestrian paths with many cafes and restaurants. You can of course , turnoff into the less acessible wooded oarts of Ada Ciganlija.

Lido

Lido is located on the northen tip of the Great War Island, on Danube. It is actually a small , pointed sandy beach without permanent residents, which covers just small fragment of the island. It can get crowded on the beach during the summer , but otherwise it is very peaceful.

The Zoo

The Belgrade Zoo, or Good Hope Garden, stands on one of the most attractive city locations - Kalemegdan park. Even though it covers a surface of only seven hectars, the Garden possesses an extremely large animal stock of good quality.

Kosutnjak

Kosutnjak Hill is a forest and a park, as well as one of the outing areas Belgraders prefer. The evergreen and deciduous forest is crisscrossed by many forest trails. Kosutnjak includes Sport Centre too.
